Thank you for booking onto our Bobbins Zoom session!

Here are a few hints and tips to get you involved with your little one. We’ve made a few suggestions about ways that you and your baby can be more involved with the session, but please don’t feel pressure to do more than you can. :)

The zoom session starts at 9.30am on Tuesday 27th April. You will be sent the link 30 minutes before the session begins. Please try to log on a few minutes before 9.30 so that we can begin promptly.

  • This session is called Dinosaurs! and is all about Dippy (Diplodocus carnegii dinosaur) and other dinosaurs that used to roam the planet. ‘Dippy’ the Diplodocus who lived in the Natural History Museum in London (and visited Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Museum in 2019) was funded by Andrew Carnegie as part of his support for palaeontology and science.

  • There are songs and rhymes throughout the session. The words have been included here (see below) so do have a look before the session, so you can join in. We love to see you all joining in for the sessions so we’ve also added a few ideas of what you could bring to the session or make beforehand. Be as creative as you like. :)

Session admin:

  • You will be emailed the link 30 minutes before the session begins. Please try to log on a few minutes before 9.30 so that we can begin promptly.

  • Your session is being led by Nicola Dibley (Museum Learning Freelancer)

  • Please say ‘hi’ then put yourselves on mute. We will control the muting button to allow everyone to hear the story but also to enjoy hearing everyone’s singing too! If there is time at the end you are welcome to stay and chat to friends for a few minutes.

  • Please put you and your baby’s first names on the screen only. This is important so that we don’t share any more personal data with each other, but Nicola can interact with babies if possible.

We very much look forward to seeing you!
